GDSUN's energy innovation aligns with Magalu's sustainable strategy, igniting new perspectives in the retail energy transition.
the forefront of solar energy In Brazil, GDSUN has just lit another spot on its map of operations: Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in Bahia. The recent solar station, boasting 3 MWp of power, was specifically designed to feed the voracious energy appetite of Magalu, a reference in Brazilian retail.
The partnership intensifies
This opening marks GDSUN's sixth facility dedicated to providing energy for Magalu. With this new addition, GDSUN's contribution to the retail empire reaches 15.330 MWh per year.
“Never the solar energy It was as powerful as it is now. Still, we recognize the vast unexplored territory in the clean energy landscape. We are determined to catalyze the energy transformation of conglomerates, promoting green projects that resonate quality and reliability,” reflects Arthur Sousa, helmsman at GDSUN.

The sun shines brighter in Brazil
Absolar, the official representative of photovoltaic solar energy, revealed that Brazil, by July 2023, already had more than 32 gigawatts (GW) of solar capacity, ranging from megastations to customized systems in buildings and land. This corresponds to a significant share of 14,7% of the Brazilian energy matrix.
This solar breakthrough symbolizes corporations' drive to embrace a new energy era. From its beginnings, the GDSUN has been a beacon on this journey, facilitating the integration of sustainability in various segments of the economy. A successful case is the partnership with Magalu, solidified in 2021.
“At Magalu, the bet is clear: green energy. With 17 solar stations, distributed across 11 states, we are able to power 626 of our units. We are deeply committed to the positive impact on the environment, and we aim to continue expanding this renewable energy in Brazil,” shares Ana Luiza Herzog, sustainability guardian at Magalu.
A ray of sunshine called GDSUN
