The contract was signed with Petrobras by Norskan Offshore, a Brazilian subsidiary of the company DOF

The DOF Group, a giant company in the branch of ships, secured a contract in Brazil for one of its anchor handling tug (AHTS) supply vessels, as well as new vessel contracts in West Africa and the North Sea.

The contract was awarded by its subsidiary Norskan Offshore, which signed the agreement with Petrobras for the 21.000-class Brazilian-flagged AHTS vessel Skandi Amazonas until March 2023.

Both offshore companies agreed to a one-year extension for Skandi Amazonas in September last year, extending the contract until September 2022.

Other DOF contracts around the world

DOF Offshore has also been awarded a contract to support an FPU for a “large operator” in West Africa utilizing the Skandi Constructor, Skandi Iceman, Skandi Hera and a third party vessel.

In addition, the Skandi vessel was awarded the role of supporting drilling operations in the Dutch sector of the North Sea, and the charter will begin in November and will provide 100 days of use for the vessel.

The estimate for these contracts is approximately R$260 million (approximately €25 million).

Expectations for the offshore company contract

According to Mons Aase, CEO of the DOF Group, he declares that he is very satisfied with the signed contracts, which, in addition to an already high order intake, guarantee a good utilization for the Group in the fourth quarter and in the first quarter of 2023.

From the most recent news related to DOF, it is worth mentioning that the company secured several contracts in the Atlantic region and in the Gulf of Mexico, totaling more than 680 ship days and earnings of around US$ 108 million.

Skandi Acergy, Skandi Constructor, Skandi Seven, Skandi Skansen, Skandi Hera and selected third-party vessels will be deployed for the offshore execution phases in the Atlantic Region.

In Guyana, the Norwegian company has entered into a three-year contract for two multipurpose support construction vessels (MPSVs) with Esso Exploration & Production Guyana.
