The startup in which Raízen is investing operates with charging solutions for electric vehicles, through a supply network integrated with a 100% digital platform
Raízen's investment is aimed at accelerating the development of the recharge network in Brazil, and the company leads the investment round of R$ 10 million in the startup Tupinambá Energia. The startup offers charging solutions for electric vehicles, operating in the electro-supply infrastructure from beginning to end, from the digital platform to the charged vehicle.

The startup Tupinambá has a digital platform that is integrated into a network of charging points, which enables the most diverse commercial enterprises to offer charging services for their consumers' electric vehicles. Currently, the platform maps more than a thousand charging points, a device that makes the journey of drivers easier by detailing the infrastructure network of electric chargers existing in Brazil.
The startup also makes use of its capital by making advertising panels available at charging stations next to malls and commercial centers. Davi Bertoncello, executive director of Tupinambá, stated that the partnership with Raízen and Plataforma Capital aims to build a unique experience for customers.

With the quest to decarbonize the automotive segment by valuing the use of renewable energy, Raízen is using its partnership with the startup to accelerate the growth strategy in renewables. For this, the company is adding new solutions that meet different challenges and needs in an efficient and sustainable way.
“With the ESG agenda heated, Brazilian companies are looking for ways to become greener, not only in speech but, mainly, in practical action”, said the co-founder of Tupinambá, Pedro De Conti. He considers Tupinambá the ideal partner to help companies achieve this new goal, facilitating investment in electric vehicles.
Consequences of joining the startup
The partnership with the startup will integrate Raízen's electric mobility portfolio, which includes the supply of renewable energy and electric supply solutions for company fleets. In addition, at the end of last year, the development of a large fast charging network through the Shell Recharge program was also announced.
With these recent actions and partnerships, Raízen invests in its strategy of being a one stop shop of energy solutions, with products and solutions in distributed generation and commercialization of energy in the free market, energy efficiency, renewable energy certificates and electric mobility, all based on the sustainability of clean and renewable sources.
According to Frederico Saliba, vice-president of energy and renewables at Raízen, business cooperation will rely on the company's know-how and also on the Business Units, so that investments grow quickly and sustainably, transforming the electric mobility in Brazil.
Four years ago, Raízen founded Pulse, a hub to encourage open innovation. Today, the project develops more than 50 associated startups and, in recent years, has allowed more than 70 pilot projects to be tested.
