The financing will allow farmers to invest in a new electrical system, which will rely on solar energy and biogas, without additional interest rates.

The Government of the State of Paraná, together with the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply and the Rural Development Institute-Iapar-Emater (IDR-Paraná), developed the Paraná Rural Renewable Energy Program (RenovaPR). The main objective of this program of the Government of Paraná is to help the state's farmers in matters related to the competitiveness of their businesses through the provision of energy from renewable sources, such as solar energy and biogas.

Initial phase of RenovaPR attracts investments

The RenovaPR program is still in the phase of accreditation of companies and training of technical managers, who will provide services in the areas of photovoltaic solar energy and also in the area of biogas.

Through the program, interested farmers will be able to access credit lines made available by the program, with interest rates subsidized by the State Government so that renewable energy generators can be contracted.

By complying with the prerequisites of RenovaPR and the credit line available to farmers, the contracting of zero-interest financing will be made possible.

Benefit of the solar energy and biogas line of credit to farmers

With the facilitated credit conditions, farmers will also be able to benefit from a 60% discount on the Rural Nocturnal Tariff, a discount offered by the Government of Paraná to farmers registered in the program.

The reduction in the value of electricity is intended for the times between 21:30 and 6:2022. The program will end at the end of XNUMX. Having a considerable reduction in electricity rates is something significant for farmers, since crops such as poultry and fish farming consume a lot of energy, from installations, slaughter and processing.

Using farms as an example, the cost of electricity is very high and can exceed 50% of overall energy use. And that's why the use of photovoltaic solar energy is an ideal escape valve to reduce costs and increase productivity in the field.

How to get financing?

Farmers will be able to request financing through financial institutions that have an agreement with Fomento Paraná. When contracting projects, it is important that the service is provided by companies that are registered in the program, such as Enerluz.

Enerluz's managing partner and electrical engineer, Renan Temp, says that the entire registration process was carried out in July and always seeks to establish quality criteria for companies participating in RenovaPR.

Renan said that to participate in RenovaPR, the company had to prove that they had already been working in the field of installing photovoltaic systems in the region for some years, in addition to having to prove their experience in this type of service, in order to prevent unnecessary hiring. .

The company Enerluz was the first to install solar energy systems in the extreme west of the state of Paraná. In 2014, the company installed and approved a photovoltaic system inside its headquarters, located in Foz do Iguaçu. Enerluz has been in the market for over 30 years, where it operates in the electrical engineering, electrical materials and automation segments.
