The government of Rio de Janeiro announced this Friday (07) that it will invest R$ 80 million in investments in solar energy projects. The investments aim to insert RJ in the route of generation of renewable energy, in addition to generating new jobs, attracting companies and developing more business opportunities. The resources will be in a fund structured by the State Development Agency (AgeRio). The decision was taken at a meeting of the Secretariat for Economic Development, International Relations and Energy with representatives of the Light, Energisa, Enel, Codin and AgeRio concessionaires, as well as businessmen from the sector and representatives of the Brazilian Association of Solar Energy (Absolar).

According to the president, since 2012, self-generation of solar energy has attracted around BRL 1,9 billion in investments to the state and also generated more than 10 jobs, raising more than BRL 451 million for the coffers. public.
