Government paid more than R$ 70 million in vehicles, uniforms, auto tanks and equipment for the Fire Department of Mato Grosso

The Government of the State of Mato Grosso invested more than R$ 70 million in resources for the Fire Department

Throughout the over the last four years, the state government has invested more than R$70 million in new units, equipment, uniforms and vehicles for the Mato Grosso Military Fire Department (CBMMT). Investments made during management ensure efficiency and speed in responding to incidents, in addition to strengthening the fight against forest and urban fires.

Vehicles and equipment purchased for the Fire Department

According to the information released by the Government of Mato Grosso, approximately R$ 25,8 million were invested in more than 200 vehicles, tank trucks and boats purchased or rented to respond to incidents throughout the State. In addition, more than a thousand pieces of equipment were purchased, such as nozzles, transceivers (radiocommunication), extricators and facial protection for breathing, which guarantee the safety of the military and improve the effectiveness in responding to incidents.

Furthermore, a sum of more than 33 ammunition and more than 4,2 uniforms that were acquired are being delivered to the military. The amount used in the military area reaches R$ 6,6 million. According to the General Commander, “thanks to the Government of Mato Grosso, the Fire Department now has high-tech equipment. Today, for example, we have diving masks that allow communication between military firefighters. We have equipment that are world references and of great value for our performance”

New units and reforms made by the Government of Mato Grosso do Sul

During its term of office, the Government of Mato Grosso invested in the construction of the 1st and 2nd Independent Platoons of the Military Fire Brigade in Poconé and Santo Antônio do Leverger through partnerships. In addition, the 8th Independent Company of the Pontes e Lacerda Fire Department was inaugurated, which gained its own headquarters in 2021, after 19 years operating in a building provided by the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT).

Meanwhile, in Sinop, the 3rd Regional Command underwent restructuring and became the first barracks in the state with a modular container structure. The sustainable structure of the barracks brought savings to public coffers, not counting the speed of construction, which lasted only seven months.
