In the last year, the price of gasoline and alcohol has skyrocketed at gas stations and this has caused many employees to continue working from home.
Home office eases fuel price burden: many companies put their employees in the home office due to the pandemic, accelerating a trend that was already taking shape in the corporate world. With the flexibilities, many workers had the option of returning to face-to-face work, resuming a more “normal” routine.
However, another unexpected factor ended up influencing the decision: the rise in fuel prices. Unsurprisingly, in the last year, the price of gasoline and alcohol has soared at gas stations, reaching R$8/litre, and this has caused many employees to postpone their return to the office and continue working from home. According to a survey by OnePoll, in partnership with Citrix Systems, 54% of employees prefer to work from home to avoid high fuel costs. In the United States, the number is even higher (57%).
With the exorbitant values of fuel, the savings in working from home are representative.
Companies and workers have learned in recent years how to make the home office effective and functional, since there was no other solution and, in the end, it was seen that it was not a seven-headed animal. With this change in culture, several other cost-benefits began to weigh in the balance, and with the exorbitant prices of gasoline, the savings in working from home are representative.

Companies that choose to keep their employees in remote work save important figures and end up exempting their teams from the daily confrontation of traffic – especially tumultuous in large centers –, which makes the period more productive, with a reduction in the level of stress for employees.
This corporate philosophy needs to go hand in hand with technology, to make business management processes simpler and more efficient, attacking problems, instead of creating rigid routines that also compromise the productivity of its customers.
Hyperautomation can be a great ally for companies, significantly improving workflows. After all, its function is exactly the same as its functionality: to be a tool for optimizing processes, making everything less repetitive and more agile – including reducing distances! And any company can adopt and benefit from hyperautomation technology.
There are, on the market, currently, systems with rapid implementation that help with productivity, providing accurate metrics and connecting departments in a simple way. Rework, communication failure and operational risks are reduced.
It is about taking care of the company and those who work in it, which generates unity and engagement among all. With organization and planning, it is possible to achieve good results and then everyone benefits from a lighter and more interesting routine.
