GWM surprises the motorcycle market with the new Souo S2000, a luxury motorcycle with high power and 8 opposed cylinders
GWM has been exploring the motorcycle market in China and, with the Souo sub-brand, now bets on the luxury segment. Known for producing electric and smaller displacement motorcycles, Souo innovates with the launch of the Souo S2000, a combustion model that seeks to compete with iconic motorcycles such as the Honda Gold Wing, according to the website Quatro Rodas.
With an impressive 2.0-liter eight-cylinder engine, the Souo S2000 reaches 154 hp power and 19 kgfm of torque. This configuration ensures a maximum speed of up to 210 km/h, positioning it among the most powerful motorcycles today. Compared to the Honda Gold Wing, which has a six-cylinder engine and 126 hp, the Souo S2000 stands out for offering an even more daring performance.
Structure and comfort: Souo S2000 displays impressive dimensions
The engine's power is accompanied by a robust structure. With a wheelbase of 1,81 meters, 11,5 cm larger than the Honda Gold Wing, the Souo S2000 offers comfort and stability for longer journeys. With 461 kg, is also one of the heaviest motorcycles in its category, requiring piloting experience.

The Souo S2000 is offered in three versions:

Technology and connectivity: The Souo S2000 is ahead of its time
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, The Souo S2000 features a 12,3-inch digital dashboard and rear parking sensorsSomething rare on motorcycles. Heated seats and the ability to receive software updates remotely further increase the comfort and practicality of the model.
The starting price of the Souo S2000 is US$ 31 thousand (approximately R$ 183 thousand), competitive when compared to the R$304 for the Honda Gold Wing. However, restrictions on the use of large combustion-engine motorcycles in China, especially in urban areas, may limit its adoption in the local market. Still, the model represents a new era for GWM, which seeks to compete on equal terms with big names in the sector and consolidate itself in the luxury motorcycle market.
