Honda ZR-V 2025 drops in price and now costs less than smaller SUVs! Is it worth it?
Honda ZR-V 2025 now costs R$ 169.900 after a R$ 45 reduction! With a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, CVT transmission and a full package of equipment, has it finally become a good deal?

The 2025 Honda ZR-V arrived in Brazil with a hefty price tag, costing R$214.000 at launch. However, it recently underwent a significant reduction, dropping to R$169.900. With this new pricing, it has become a more competitive option in the midsize SUV segment. But is it now worth investing in?

The Honda ZR-V has a design that divides opinions. The front end is modern, with full LED headlights, but the front grille may not please everyone. Some compare it to the HB20 due to the shape of the grille that resembles a fish's mouth. However, in the right color, it can stand out positively.

Already at the rear, the look is more balanced and may please Brazilians, who like a robust design. The trunk offers 389 liters, which can reach 1.306 liters with the seats folded down.

Spacious and comfortable interior

Inside, the Honda ZR-V offers plenty of space. Those traveling in the back seat are comfortable, especially due to the flat central tunnel, which allows three passengers to fit better. The sunroof adds a touch of sophistication, but could be larger.

The finish is of good quality, but the excess of hard plastic may bother those expecting a greater level of sophistication for an SUV that originally cost more than R$200.

Engine and performance of this Honda SUV

Unlike most competitors, which have already adopted turbo or hybrid engines, the Honda ZR-V maintains a 2.0 naturally aspirated engine with 161 hp and 19,1 kgfm of torque, combined with a CVT gearbox that simulates seven gears.

This set is known for its reliability, but delivers less power and torque than rivals such as the Volkswagen Taos and Jeep Compass.

At 1.446 kg, the ZR-V has a power-to-weight ratio of 8,9 kg/hp, which is reflected in the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in around 12 seconds. This number is far from the performance of the models turbo, which make the same journey in less than 9 seconds.

As for consumption, the numbers are reasonable for an aspirated engine:

  • City: about 8,5 km/l.
  • Highway: approximately 12,5 km/l.

The big problem is that the model is not flex, running only on gasoline.

Equipment and technologies

The Honda ZR-V comes well equipped, featuring items such as:

  • Adaptive cruise control (ACC).
  • Lane Keeping Assist.
  • Full LED headlights.
  • Comfortable leather-covered seats.
  • Side camera to assist with overtaking.

Despite the good equipment, some absences are noteworthy:

  • There is no air conditioning outlet for the rear seats, something common in cheaper SUVs.
  • Misaligned multimedia center, facing the passenger and not the driver.
  • Lack of blind spot warning, present in direct competitors.

Price and value for money

From R$214.000 to R$169.900: what changes? The R$45 price reduction completely changes the Honda ZR-V's positioning in the market. Previously, it competed with hybrid and turbocharged mid-size SUVs, but now it enters the fray with naturally aspirated versions of models such as the Toyota Corolla Cross and Jeep Compass.

This makes the model is more interesting for those looking for a spacious, comfortable and reliable SUV, without worrying so much about performance.

It tried to differentiate itself from the other HRV models, it gave Z zebra, as stated in the report itself the front looked similar to the Fiesta and the same front as the HB20, in other words outdated!!!

Still not worth the price. A 169.000 car doesn't have air vents for the back seat.
