According to the people director of the mining company Horizonte Minerals, Rinaldo Dantas, these hires are important for the evolution of the Araguaia Project, which estimates the start of metal production in the first half of 2024.

The Araguaia Nickel Project, located in Conceição do Araguaia, is the largest Greenfield investment in nickel in Brazil, with a mine life of 28 years. The expectation is that the Feasibility Study for Line 2, which aims to double nickel production to 29 thousand tons per year, will be completed in the second half of this year.
With the Commissioning Authorization for Mineral Extraction Activity issued in July this year, the mining company Horizonte Minerals is advancing its operations and preparing for ore extraction. This authorization will allow the company to mine, store and classify the ore, optimizing the commissioning process.
