Hyundai's new midsize SUV delivers up to 160 horsepower
In terms of engine, Hyundai's new medium SUV arrived with only one option, but the Hyundai promised more news for next year. The set that debuted with the model is the 2.0 aspirated block with direct fuel injection for gasoline only, which is associated with another 48V battery, which replaces the alternator.
Adding it all up, the Hyundai Mufasa mild hybrid delivers 160 horsepower and 23 kgfm of torque, associated with a six-speed automatic transmission with torque converter and front-wheel drive.
For 2024, the South Korean automaker promised that Hyundai's new medium SUV will have an even more traditional hybrid option, but did not reveal details. However, the most likely option is the 1.4 Turbo gasoline set that comes coupled to another electric motor. This is already sold in the Asian automotive market in other SUVs from the automaker and also from Kia there.
