Federal Institute opens 2.000 vacancies for free online course (EAD) on first aid in the school environment
The Federal Institute IFSULDEMINAS announced the opening of 2.000 vacancies for the free online course (EAD) on first aid in the school environment. The initiative is part of the Notice No. 235/2024 and aims to train teachers and staff of public and private schools in accordance with the Lucas Law (Law No. 13.722/18), within the Capacita Sul de Minas Program.
The course is aimed at professionals in early childhood and basic education, ensuring greater safety in the school environment by training participants in first aid procedures. With a workload of 120 hours, the training includes theoretical and practical classes, as well as discussion forums and evaluations. Topics covered include cardiorespiratory arrest, burns and transportation of injured people, all of which are essential for emergency situations.
Distribution of vacancies and national scope
The 2.000 places offered by the course will be filled by teachers and school staff from all over Brazil, as the course will be entirely online. This allows participants to register and complete the training from any location with internet access, expanding opportunities for continuing education in the education sector.

Course selection process
If the number of applicants exceeds the number of vacancies, the selection process will be carried out by raffle electronic. All candidates who meet the requirements may apply, and there are no specific places reserved for quotas or affirmative actions. The selection will be open to professionals in early childhood and basic education from all over the country.
Requirements to participate
Interested parties must be teachers or employees of public or private schools, working in early childhood or basic education. A college degree is not required, but internet access is essential, since the course will be offered entirely remotely. In addition, it is necessary to correctly fill out the electronic form to confirm registration.

- Basic notions of first aid
- Management of seizures and fainting
- Treatment of burns and wounds
- Procedures in cases of choking in children and adults
