The Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES) is now accepting applications for free and online courses de English and Spanish. Classes are aimed at both students and the general community, focusing on introduction to the language, everyday vocabulary and basic comprehension.

The activities will be carried out entirely the distance, with issuance of free certificate at the end of the course. The Places are limited and participants will be selected in order of registration..

The free online courses offered by IFES are part of an initiative for citizenship training and linguistic inclusion. Participants will have access to introductory content, such as everyday expressions, greetings, basic sentence structures and vocabulary for common situations.

Classes are promoted by the campus of New Immigrant Sale, and all material will be made available in a virtual learning environment, which allows flexible access from anywhere with an internet connection.

The workload will be defined according to the course schedule, and participants will receive certificates of completion valid throughout the national territory, useful for curricular enrichment and selection processes.

How the courses work and who can participate

Anyone with internet access can enroll in IFES's free online courses. The only prerequisites are:

• Be at least old enough to 14 years
• obtain active email e regular internet access
• Register correctly within the established deadline

The courses will be held at EAD (Distance Education) modality, with tutor support and access to videos, handouts, forums and exercises. IFES does not charge any registration, monthly or teaching material fees.

Registration and deadlines for free and online courses

As registration is now open and must be done directly on the IFES website. As the number of vacancies is limited, interested parties must register as soon as possible, as the selection will be made by registration order.

Classes are expected to begin in the coming days, with a schedule adapted to the students' availability. Free online courses are an excellent opportunity to develop a new skill without leaving home.
