IFMA has more than 700 new vacancies in free technical courses, with the right to a certificate, for people over 18 years old who seek to complete high school.

O Federal Institute of Maranhão (IFMA) announced this week a selection notice for mid-level technical courses in the modality of Youth and Adult Education (EJA). 790 vacancies are being made available for people aged 18 or over who are looking to complete high school and, at the same time, obtain a technical course certificate. Registration is free and can be done online. until the 30th of this month.

Certificate opportunities are available on 17 campuses, namely Açailândia, Barra do Corda, Bacabal, Barreirinhas, Caxias, Buriticupu, Coelho Neto, Codó, Imperatriz, São João dos Patos, Santa Inês, São Raimundo das Mangabeiras, Timon and Ze Doca.

In the capital of Maranhão, the campuses of the Historic Center, Maracanã and Monte Castelo were contemplated. Classes will take place in person, starting in the first half of next year. The full frame of vacancies open by IFMA can be found in the notice.

It is important to note that there will be no test, and the selection process must take place through analysis of a socioeconomic questionnaire. The result of the selection should be announced on February 1st of next year, with the registration period for those summoned in the first call from February 2nd to 8th.

The announcement establishes that half of the vacancies in each of the free courses with a certificate are reserved for candidates who graduated from public schools, in accordance with the Law No. 12.711 / 2012. Of this number of vacancies aimed at candidates who have graduated from public schools, half are reserved for candidates with a gross family income equal to or less than one and a half minimum wages per person, and the other half is reserved for candidates from families who earn something above this range. per capita income. In each half, the percentages of 77% of the self-declared vacancies are guaranteed black, brown and indigenous, and 5% for people with disabilities.

Registration can be done online

Registrations must be made through the institution website and, when performing them, candidates who wish to compete for opportunities aimed at blacks and browns must confirm the ethnic-racial self-declaration and include a photo in accordance with the requirements demanded in the Public Notice.

This photo will only be used in the hetero-identification procedure, and the image cannot be used for other purposes. The hetero-identification procedure consists of the identification by third parties of the self-declared condition at the time of registration, being carried out by Validation Commission on each IFMA Campus, instituted specifically for this purpose, and has three substitute members and three full members.

In the case of candidates who compete for vacancies aimed at indigenous people, it is necessary to present, when enrolling, the Administrative Registration of Indigenous Birth (RANI), if any, or a declaration of belonging to an indigenous group, with the signature of the candidate, the chief and of two representatives of the community to which he belongs, or a declaration of belonging issued by a legitimate entity of the articulations and organizations of indigenous peoples, with the signature of two members of the coordination and the candidate. IFMA is also offering 90 places in free courses in the EAD modality

IFMA also has a selection process for free online postgraduate lato sensu courses in the modality of Distance Education. 90 vacancies are being made available spread across several poles.

Entries are open from 9 am this Monday and can be taken until 23:59 pm on January 16, 2023. The course being offered in the selection process is the specialization in Management of Regional Development in the Amazon, which has 450 hours duration, equivalent to a duration of 18 months.
