IFSP is offering 160 vacancies in free technical courses in São Carlos and Araraquara. Those interested have until May 14 to register, which can be done through the official website of the IFSP. The courses are aimed at students who are studying or who have already completed high school and the selection process will take place on June 18. The courses available in São Carlos are Technician in Quality, Technician in Aeronautical Maintenance in Cell and Technician in Aeronautical Maintenance in Powerplant, all at night. In Araraquara, there are 40 vacancies for the technical course in Mechatronics, also at night.
Registrations
Applications can be made until May 14 through the official website of the IFSP which can be accessed by CLICKING HERE, where the candidate must complete an electronic form and a socioeconomic questionnaire. The value of the registration fee is R$ 20,00, but candidates who have a per capita family income equal to or less than 1,5 minimum wages can apply for fee waiver by May 7.

Necessary requirements to participate in the selection process
The technical courses are aimed at students who are studying or who have already completed high school. For technical courses concomitant, it is necessary to be enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of high school at another school. There is not age limit to apply.
The test of the selection process will be applied on June 18 in the city chosen by the candidate. The assessment will last for three hours and will consist of 30 multiple-choice questions about knowledge of the Portuguese language and mathematics, according to the contents covered in the 6th to 9th grade of elementary school.

The IFSP has an affirmative action policy in the distribution of vacancies in its selection process for technicians. In this way, 50% of the places in each course are reserved for candidates who studied elementary school fully in Brazilian public educational institutions. In addition, there are vacancies for candidates with a per capita family income equal to or less than 1,5 minimum wages, self-declared black, brown or indigenous candidates, and candidates with disabilities.
