Responsibilities

The Safety Technician will report to the Safety Representative and will be responsible for supporting activities related to work safety, aiming to ensure conditions that eliminate or minimize the risk of accidents at work, observing compliance with all relevant legislation. .

The Security Technician can:

Analyze work methods and processes and identify risk factors for occupational accidents, occupational diseases and the presence of environmental agents that are aggressive to workers, proposing their elimination and / or control
Cooperate with environmental activities, guiding the treatment and disposal of industrial waste, encouraging and raising awareness about the importance of workers.
Support the company to operate in compliance with local legislation and customer requirement
Assist in the recognition and prevention of unsafe acts or conditions to prevent accidents
Participate in onboard safety meetings, exercises and onboard training
Train and develop rig personnel for safety programs and procedures
Provide guidance for handling new employees or visitors
Contact platform employees and the Human Resources Department
Participate fully in all safety initiatives and programs in Health, Safety and the Environment and in weekly safety meetings
Follow Diamond Offshore's Global Excellence Management System (GEMS)
Perform other tasks as needed

Level of Education

Possess a valid safety technician registration/certificate
5 or more years of experience as a Safety Technician in the Offshore industry
Fluency in English
