At the beginning of the month, Petrobras announced the beginning of the emptying of Torre Pituba, in Bahia, with the transfer of public servants.
Last night, October 16, the Public Ministry of Labor in Bahia obtained an injunction to prevent Petrobras from ending its activities in the state. Petrobras headquarters in Salvador, Bahia, was a temple of corruption, said Castello Branco in the Chamber of Deputies.
After the Public Ministry of Labor ended the mediation between the Union of Petroleum Workers of Bahia (Sindipetro) and Petrobras, an injunction was registered on the night of this Tuesday, 15.

With the filing of the mediation, the MPT proceeded with the investigations, within the inquiry, and filed suit in the Labor Court.
The verdict prohibits Petrobras from moving its employees and creating voluntary dismissal programs. The injunction was granted by Judge Danilo Gaspar, where the process had been distributed to the 6th Court of Salvador, Bahia
The chief prosecutor of the MPT in Bahia, Luís Carneiro, says “This is a historic performance. It is part of the fight to guarantee jobs, reiterating the limits of the law. We verified, through the task force, the submission of Petrobras workers to a situation of psychological terror, whether due to the lack of transparency, or the withholding of the minimum of information, or the lack of security about the professional destiny of those thousands of people. Organizational (collective) bullying was characterized. The MPT acted and the Judiciary confirmed”.
In addition to Carneiro, the action is also signed by attorneys Séfora Char, Luís Barbosa and Rosineide Mendonça. Petrobras needs to be personally notified, so that the decision can be complied with.
As of today, October 17, a bailiff will be sent to Torre Pituba, Petrobras' headquarters in Salvador, to enforce the court decision.
This month, the state-owned company announced the beginning of the emptying of Torre Pituba in the capital with the transfer of civil servants. At the time, Petrobras had announced that the process would be completed by December of this year. Departures were scheduled for every 1st of the month.
According to information from the Union of Petroleum Workers in Bahia (Sindipetro-BA), the first stage of transfers reached at least 30 employees.
Still according to Sindipetro-BA, there are 1.507 public servants. “This is a frightening attitude by Petrobras, which disrespects the worker who produced so much for the company. A posture without any sensitivity”, said Radiovaldo Costa, director of communication for the union, on the day of the transfer of employees.
