The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO) announced the extension of registrations for its long-awaited public competition. According to information published in the Official Gazette of the Union on Wednesday (10), those interested in vacancies of the Institute now have until February 5th to apply.
How many vacancies are offered in the INMETRO public competition?
The 300 vacancies offered by INMETRO represent a opportunity unique for professionals with higher education.

The areas covered are researcher-technologist in metrology and quality, with 60 immediate vacancies, and 40 for executive analyst in metrology and quality.

The starting salary for both positions is R$8.700,31, in addition to a food allowance worth R$658.
How to register for the INMETRO competition?
It is worth noting that, with the extension of the deadline for inscriptions, candidates have until February 6th to pay the fee, set at R$125.
It is important to highlight that there will no longer be the possibility of requesting a fee exemption.
Entries must be made exclusively online, by registering on the website of the Institute for Educational, Cultural and National Assistance Development (Idecan), responsible for organizing the competition.

When will the selection process tests be held?
The schedule establishes that the tests will be administered on April 14th, divided into two periods.
In the morning, candidates for executive analyst positions in metrology and quality will take the exams, while in the afternoon it will be the turn of competitors for the position of researcher-technologist.
The tests will consist of 70 multiple choice questions and an essay with a limit of up to 30 lines.
Where will the INMETRO public competition tests be administered?
For the convenience of participants, the tests will be held in six cities, namely: Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Salvador, Brasรญlia, Goiรขnia and Fortaleza.
During the registration process, candidates will be able to choose the city of their preference.
What is the validity of the contest?
The validity of the competition is stipulated in two years, counting from the approval of the result, providing those approved with the security of a solid career opportunity at INMETRO.
