Uber and JAC Motors announced a new strategic **partnership** in the Brazilian market, aiming to promote the promotion of electric mobility. Starting today (14), Uber partner drivers will have access to special conditions to purchase the electric compact E-JS1 from JAC Motors, with the aim of encouraging the use of electric vehicles in fleet of Uber and reduce operating costs for professionals.

Sergio Habib, president of JAC Motors Brasil, highlights that the benefit is equivalent to filling the vehicle with gasoline for an average value of R$0,50 per liter, when using free energy.

Mechanically, the compact E-JS1 features an electric motor with 45 kW (62 hp) of power and 15,3 kgfm of torque. According to factory data, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10,7 seconds. The lithium-iron-phosphate battery has a capacity of 30,2 kWh and provides a range of 161 km according to the Inmetro standard or 250 km in real life.

Benefits and recharging facilities for drivers

Recharging options are also a highlight for drivers. Quick recharge in electrophores (from 15% to 85%) takes just 1 hour. With a 7 kW wallbox home charger, the time increases to 3,5 hours, and with a home socket, a full charge (0% to 100%) requires 11 hours.
