LATAM Airlines Brasil, formerly TAM Linhas Aéreas, previously announced mass layoffs and now its employees have gone on strike.
A video is circulating on the internet of an alleged strike involving LATAM employees, the week started out a little crowded at the company's headquarters.

LATAM will outsource its services in Brazil
Apparently, the strike was justified on account of the various mass layoffs involving LATAM and also a possible outsourcing contract that involves dispatch activities of the aircraft before the flight.
LATAM is now cutting some employees, it claims that all layoffs are due to the coronavirus pandemic. One of the main functions to be extinguished would be the DOT.

LATAM Extinguished an important function of its company
DOT is a function characterized by arranging shipment, restricting suspicious deliveries, checking personal documents and much more.
The function no longer exists, and it also applies to its complement called DOV, the function that took care of ANAC qualification, flight plans, plane route and fuel calculation.
Strike at LATAM
When asked about the mass layoffs, the strike at his company and how the organization would be in the market, the CEO of LATAM got straight to the point and said: “I don't need the market, I need money”.
Without the dispatch of technicians who were also on strike, the planes could not leave for their destinations, it ended up that many people were also harmed by having to reallocate their flights.
The employees refused to carry out their activities until 17 pm, two hours later there was a meeting and both returned to their normal activities.
