It sounds too good to be true, but that's the opportunity offered by University of São Paulo (USP), which released places for an EAD course focused on this fascinating topic.

Registration is now open, and with one detail: they are totally free! If you are a student, researcher or professional in the area of ​​Literature and Communication, this is your chance to expand your knowledge.

Starting in October 2024, the course will be taught by the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences (FFLCH) at USP and aims to provide an in-depth understanding of how interpersonal relationships are constructed through language.

According to USP, the course uses Systemic-Functional Linguistics as a basis, addressing the diverse ways in which human interactions shape and are shaped by communication.

How does the course work?

The course, entitled “Language and Interpersonal Relationships”, has duration of 14 hours and will be carried out over seven classes.

Classes are 100% online, transmitted via the Google Meet platform, and combine theoretical expositions with interactive discussions, allowing participants to bring real examples and issues to the debate.

According to information from FFLCH, the program content includes essential themes for understanding the relationship between language and social interactions.

Topics covered include: social distance, institutional roles and identity in the context of interpersonal relationships.

There are 100 places available for the course, and registrations are open until the day October 21th, 2024, through APOLLO platform. selection will be made by electronic draw, scheduled to take place on October 22, 2024.
