The multimodal logistics and business fair is one of the largest and most important in Brazil; the event is free and registration must be made on the website www.logistique.com.br
The deficiencies of the logistics infrastructure in Santa Catarina is already a recurring theme in the political and business spheres. Technical studies point out that the lack of investments in structural and structuring works is urgent and, the lack of them, can even impact a logistical blackout.
The study "Industry Agenda for Infrastructure", prepared by the Federation of Industries of Santa Catarina (Fiesc) shows the need for investments between 2023 and 2026 at the federal, state, municipal and private levels in road modes (R$ 14,5 billion), waterway (R$ 1,72 billion) rail (R$ 985 million), air (R$ 695 million) and pipeline (R$ 510 million).
“Santa Catarina is in the 19th position in Brazil in terms of road quality, it is the second state in number of accidents, second in number of accidents with victims and fourth in accidents with deaths. From 2011 to 2021, we had 142,1 accidents and 5 deaths on federal highways in Santa Catarina”, observes the president of Fiesc, Mário Cezar de Aguiar. He also cites a survey by the National Transport Confederation (CNT), according to which 68% of the highways in SC are evaluated as very bad, bad or fair. The same survey points out the stretch of the BR-163 in Santa Catarina as the worst federal highway in the country.
