London South Bank University offers scholarships in England

London South Bank University (LSBU) offers international merit-based scholarships, selecting students with outstanding academic performance to receive a £2.000 discount on the tuition fee.

Via International Merit Scholarship (International Merit Scholarship), the university seeks to recognize and reward exceptional talent by granting a £2.000 discount on the cost of an undergraduate or postgraduate professional degree.

Criteria for applying for the scholarship include:

  • Receive a valid, unconditional and current offer to study on an LSBU full-time undergraduate or professional postgraduate program commencing in September 2024 or January 2025;
  • Be considered a foreign student;
  • Be a self-funded student without any other official sponsorship;
  • Choose a course lasting at least one year, taught at LSBU;
  • Fulfill the academic prerequisites established by the university for granting the scholarship.

For applicants to degree programmes, the prerequisite includes an average of AAB at A Level or equivalent in an international qualification. All decisions are made by the LSBU scholarship panel and are final, with the discount applied at the time of registration.

More criteria

According to information on London South Bank University's official website, Brazilian students interested in preparatory courses must present a High School Certificate. To apply for a degree, the university requires one of the following options:

  • Completion of a preparatory course in the United Kingdom (with a minimum average of 60%);
  • International Baccalaureate (with a minimum average of 24 points);
  • A Levels;
  • Completion of the first year of graduation at a recognized Brazilian higher education institution.

By the way, those who have studied two years at a Brazilian university can apply for admission to the second year of graduation at LSBU, as long as they have high grades and the subjects already taken are relevant to the desired course.
