Macaé has an offshore vacancy

Vacancies started this Friday (27/09) are for Macaé, RJ and seafarers will work on TechnipFMC support vessels under contract in Brazilian waters

TechnipFMC made available last night (27/09) two large offshore vacancies for the city of Macaé in Rio de Janeiro. The vacancies are for maritime professionals to work on PLSV-type support vessels.

Captain / Master / Commander

The Master is the legally designated BMOS Representative on board and is responsible for the safety of the vessel and the safety, health and well-being of all persons on board.

Qualifications / Required

5 years of experience in PLSVs, working as a Master; Master (Unlimited) Country of Origin STCW (REG II/2) Certificate of Competence
Unlimited DP operators certificate issued by Instituto Náutico; Comply with the requirements of the IMCA Guidelines for the Design and Operation of Dynamically Positioned Vessels; Comply with the requirements outlined in Section 6.1 of the IMCA “Training and experience of key DP personnel” document, with the exception of the DP simulator certificate which may be waived for an established DPO; BOSIET/FOET SURVIVAL (optio); STCW Elementary First Aid; STCW Fire Prevention and Fighting; STCW Personal Safety $ Social Responsibilities; STCW Personal Survival Techniques; STCW Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Craft; ARPA (Automatic Radar Plotting Auxiliary; DP Induction; DP Operator; DP Simulator; ECDIS (generic); Specific ECDIS Equipment Type (Kongsberg); Onboard Security Officer (SSO).

Chief engineer

The Chief Engineer is responsible for the safe and economical management of the vessel's facilities and machinery and must ensure that all measures are taken to prevent pollution of the marine environment.
Where appropriate, he or she is responsible for ensuring that the Marine Engineering System, Technicians maintain and operate their respective systems in accordance with the relevant manufacturers' recommendations and the requirements of the relevant legislation.
He or she is responsible for engineering any modifications to the system once approved and for deciding whether these modifications need to be referred to certification authorities for further approval to ensure the system retains its certification/classification and otherwise.

Qualifications / Required

Chief Engineer Unlimited Certificate of Competence (STCW Reg III/2); Comply with the requirements of the IMCA Guidelines for the Design and Operation of Dynamically Positioned Vessels; Comply with the requirements outlined in Section 6.7 of the IMCA “Training and Experience of Key DP Personnel” document; Proven experience in PLSV.
