ABEAR (Brazilian Association of Airlines) reported this Wednesday (25) that it was at the Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPA) for presentations to Minister Mário França of the airline sector agenda for the year 2023.
Eduardo Sanavicz, president of ABEAR, highlighted the fact that the association maintains a constant dialogue with the portfolios and that new meetings throughout the year will have to update the scenario and promote debates on the measures necessary for the development of Brazilian commercial aviation.
Sanovicz gave a presentation on the history of the last 20 years of the airline industry and the impact of public policy that brought even more passengers to air transport, as well as tariff freedom.
For the year 2023, Eduardo Sanovicz highlighted the importance of discussing the impact of the price of aviation fuel, which corresponds to about 40% of the costs of companies and has even increased by 121% since 2019.

Márcio França still says that this work is just beginning and the Ministry it will also be part of supporting the entire sector in important agendas, as it is still a new model for strengthening regional aviation.
“It is important that airlines and associations know how to demystify some points of aviation so that society and the government can understand what is most important to be faced”, highlighted the minister.

By presenting the most relevant topics for airlines, and we provide the government with information to demonstrate the difficult scenario after the pandemic and the agenda we need to face in order to return to growth, to resume conditions of lower cost and purchasing power of the population and companies that we already experienced at the beginning of the last decade, for a significant increase in passengers on board”, says Sanovicz.
