Metagal, a company with 60 years of experience in the manufacture of automotive mirrors and modern rearview systems, recently announced the expansion of production at the unit in Santa Rita do Sapucaí (MG).

The Government of Minas Gerais highlighted that this expansion marks an investment of approximately R$ 29 million, generating around 100 new job opportunities. With this, Metagal consolidates its innovative legacy and expands its presence in Minas Gerais. The XYZ Group recently expanded its operations with the opening of e-commerce at the end of January this year, as well as the acquisition of a competing company.

In addition to Santa Rita do Sapucaí, the Group has units in Conceição dos Ouros (south of Minas), Diadema (SP), Manaus (AM), and in Argentina. This expansion reflects the company's commitment to providing quality services to its customers.

According to Luís Machado, Metagal's tax manager, he believes in the strength of Minas Gerais state and the region. However, the choice for the state was motivated by the location close to the customers, which are the car and truck factories, in addition to the favorable conditions for e-commerce and the growth of the region between Santa Rita do Sapucaí and Pouso Alegre.

According to Machado, in order to choose the ideal location for an expansion, additional factors must be considered in addition to good conditions for new investments.

Invest Minas, responsible for the project by Josiane Rafaella Faleiro, investment promotion analyst, has shown interest in receiving companies to make investments in Minas Gerais. Through conversations between governments and Invest Minas, it was possible to find solutions that met both sides. This new mentality has already shown promise in generating historic results in attracting investments to the state, becoming a source of employment and income for the people of Minas Gerais.

The Secretary of State for Economic Development, Fernando Passalio, celebrated the investment in expanding Metagal. “We are working hard to put the train on track and accelerate our economy,” said Passalio.

He highlighted the serious posture of the government of Minas Gerais to attract investors, generating jobs and wealth for miners. “With this, we provide better living conditions for families and boost the local economy,” he said. Metagal's expansion will offer hundreds of new jobs for mining citizens.

In addition, Metagal seeks to constantly develop and innovate its culture to contribute to the social well-being of the community.
