Millionaire project in MS! The regional superintendence of the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT) of the state, approved last Tuesday (29/09) the contracting of the company Etelestudos Técnicos Ltda, to carry out the study and design of the road contour in Porto Murtinho, with access to International Bridge that will give access to the Bioceânica Route, the bridge that will connect Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile.

Hiring the company represents another important step towards the consolidation and implementation of the Bioceânica Route, which follows the schedule established by the Brazilian and Paraguayan governments.

The company won the bidding for the amount of R$ 1,544 million. According to superintendent Euro Nunes Varanis Junior, the contract will take 10 days and the execution schedule is 521 days.

Etelestudos Técnicos Ltda will be responsible for the Preparation of Basic and Executive Engineering Studies and Projects for the North Road Contour in Porto Murtinho/MS, with access to the Brazil/Paraguay International Bridge and customs facilities for the Integrated Border Control Center on BR-267 .

BRIDGE OVER THE PARAGUAY RIVER AND THE BIOCEAN ROUTE

Through a Binational agreement between Brazil and Paraguay, the Bioceânica Route will be promoted, which will link Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile through a traffic corridor, and consolidate a road network of structured transport corridors that will make the countries ahead more competitive. to the international market.

In June 2016, Legislative Decree No. 110 of 2018 approved the text of the Agreement between the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Government of the Republic of Paraguay for the Construction of an International Highway Bridge over the Paraguay River between the Cities of Porto Murtinho and Carmelo Peralta.

On December 21, 2018, the then president of Brazil, Michel Temer, and that of Paraguay, Mario Abdo Benítez, signed the authorization for the construction of two bridges with resources from Itaipu Binacional, one of the bridges being the aforementioned International Bridge over the Paraguay River in Porto Murtinho/MS.

In April 2020, the Brazil-Paraguay Joint Commission approved the contracting of the Prointec Consortium to carry out a technical, economic and environmental feasibility study, final engineering project, registration and inspection in the context of the construction of the bridge over the Paraguay River, between the municipalities by Carmelo Peralta and Porto Murtinho and complementary works.
