Alexandre Silveira stated that he sees a “real possibility” of reducing diesel prices by between 32 and 42 cents per liter, and gasoline by between 10 and 12 cents per liter.
The president of the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), Alexandre Silveira, demanded today in a press interview that a new adjustment in fuel prices be carried out. He stated that the reduction is essential to achieve the inflation target.
According to him, the drop in the price of Brent oil would make it possible to make a reduction of up to R$0,42 per liter of Diesel and R$ 0,12 per liter of gasoline.
For Ministry of Mines and Energy, this reduction would not be harmful to the Petrobras nor at the price it proposed to charge.
