Modec vacancies Brazil FPSO Technicians Production

A large Japanese multinational MODEC is hiring a professional with a Technical Degree in Mechanics, Instrumentation and Mechanical Engineer, to work as Supervisor in Mechanics, Instrumentation Technician and Specialist in Rotating Equipment. Continue reading to find out about the vacancies.

MODEC recently announced vacancies for Mechanics Supervisor and Instrumentation Technician in its official profile. The Japanese company recently contracted UMS Safe Concordia, owned by Prosafe, the unit carried out a maintenance campaign on FPSO Cidade de Niterói and has been providing support to FPSO Cidade de Angra dos Reis. Modec and SBM, by the way, are the biggest demanders, as they are the largest FPSO operators in Brazil, together they account for 18 units (17 FPSOs and one FSO).

In 2014 and 2015, more than 10 flotiles operated at the same time on the Brazilian coast, but today only six UMSs are in Brazil, three with Petrobras, Tiradentes, with a contract until August, Prosafe Notos, under contract until 2020, and Posh Xanadu, with a short-term contract until August.

About vacancies

Mechanics Supervisor, requirements:

  • Technical Course in Mechanics
  • Fluent English
  • Experience in FPSO, Tanker or Petrochemical
  • Total mobility required; International experience will be an asset.
