The Pernambuco government is offering a unique opportunity for anyone who wants to learn a new language. With more than 5,9 places available, the free language courses offered by the Language Studies Centers (NEL) are open for registration. If you Always dreamed of mastering English, Spanish, French or German, this is your chance to start a learning journey.
Available vacancies and courses
There are 3.800 places for beginner-level English, French, Spanish and German courses and 2.170 places for ongoing courses, available for those who already have knowledge of a foreign language. Opportunities for English and other courses will be filled by order of priority and distributed among the languages offered. English courses and the rest have a workload of 280 hours, divided into four semesters of 70 hours each, over two years.
To enroll in English and other courses, you must be at least 13 years old and present two 3x4 photos, in addition to identity documents (RG and CPF). Minors must include documentation from their guardian. Students must present a declaration from the school/institution they study at, and all applicants must prove residency.

Enrollment process for vacancies in English and other courses
Enrollment for English and other courses must be done in person at the school office. Students at state public schools have their specific enrollment days, while students at municipal and federal public schools have another period. The general public has specific dates to register, and remaining places will be available at a later date.
Classes are scheduled to begin on February 19th and 20th, offering students the opportunity to begin a learning journey that can open doors to new personal and professional opportunities.
