With the millionaire investment made by the automaker Ford, the company hopes to deliver to consumers the best Ranger pickup ever
Ford, one of the world's leading automakers, invested an impressive US$ 660 million in its factory located in Pacheco, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina, seeking to produce the new generation of the Ford Ranger, its iconic medium pickup truck. With the implementation of improvements in technology, safety and machinery, the company promises to deliver the best Ranger ever to consumers, according to the CanalTech website.
The Pacheco factory was already considered modern, however, after the investments made, it started to operate at an even more advanced level, preparing to receive the new generation of the Ford Ranger pickup, which promises to be one of the most technological and complete ever produced. .
Industry 4.0 and Connectivity
According to Ford, the new Pacheco plant is more connected and integrated, allowing the manufacturing processes of the Ford Ranger pickup to be almost fully automated, the main feature of industry 4.0. In addition, with investments in technology, information about each unit assembled in the plant can be accessed in real time.

- Chevrolet renews oil-immersed belt warranty after customer complaints
- Chinese companies Omoda and Jaecoo debut in Brazil with cars full of technology!
- Renault partners with the company to create technology that aims to revolutionize electric and combustion cars
An example of this is that, if a screw is placed incorrectly or any error occurs during assembly, all production line employees are immediately notified and the system itself performs the correction. Ford claims that the use of machine learning has made the manufacturing of the pickup increasingly smarter, with more than a thousand cameras and sensors throughout the factory to assist in this process.
Despite increased automation, Ford points out that jobs at the plant have been asked for and employees have been trained to become an integral part of that process, safely and fully. More than 40 hours of training were investigated in this regard.
70% increase in Ford pickup production
The Pacheco plant will only be responsible for producing the new Ranger, as has been the case for some time. However, the investments and improvements implemented will allow not only the manufacture of a more technological pickup truck, but also the increase in production by 70%. The factory's capacity will be 110 pickup trucks. for South America, being reached gradually after the launch of the new generation of the vehicle.
To achieve this level of production, Ford implemented changes to the truck's production processes. As previously mentioned, the factory is more automated and connected, in addition to offering a more sustainable and pleasant environment, with more light and controlled climate.
