The Legislative Assembly of Alagoas Approved a Project That Allows Paying Fines and IPVA with Pix During Approaches, Making the Vehicle Regularization Process Faster, Simpler, and Without the Need for Immediate Seizure
The Legislative Assembly of Alagoas (ALE) approved, in the second round, the bill that creates the Vehicle Debt Regularization Program (PRDVA). The proposal, presented by Deputy Fernando Pereira (PP), authorizes drivers and motorcyclists to pay fines and IPVA immediately during approaches, through electronic systems such as Pix.
The aim of the program is to simplify the regularization of financial liabilities and avoid the removal of vehicles in cases of exclusively economic irregularities.
According to the approved text, the measure seeks to make inspections more agile and reduce the bureaucracy faced by drivers.

Few people know, but using only the “D” gear in an automatic transmission on hills can accelerate transmission wear and increase risks on downhill slopes — are you driving the wrong way without realizing it?
Rules and Limitations of the New Program
Despite the flexibility, the project makes it clear that vehicles involved in criminal offenses or judicial liabilities will not be eligible.
Additionally, payment will only be possible when there is technical availability of the electronic system at the time of the approach.
The immediate settlement of debts only prevents the seizure of the vehicle but does not annul other penalties provided for in the Brazilian Traffic Code (Law No. 9,503/1997).
Final Regularization After Confirmation
The text also stipulates that the vehicle will be considered definitively licensed only after confirmation of payments and compliance with all current legal requirements.
Thus, the program seeks to balance practicality for drivers and ensure legal security for the State.
