The initiative seeks to revitalize the region's least populated cities, attracting professionals who wanted to live in Italy with generous subsidies.

Imagine living under the radiant Tuscan sun, surrounded by stunning landscapes and rich culture. This dream can come true thanks to a new initiative in this Italian region, which is offering significant financial incentives for those willing to live in Italy in rural mountain communities, according to the Forbes website.

Tuscany launched the “Residenzialità in Montagna 2024” program with the aim of attracting new residents to its less populated cities. The program offers subsidies ranging from 10 thousand euros (approximately R$59 thousand) to 30 thousand euros (approximately R$176 thousand) to help cover the costs of purchasing and renovating a home. With a total fund of 2,8 million euros (R$16,5 million), the region is determined to bring new life to its beautiful landscapes and historic communities.

Objective of the program to live in Italy

The main objective is rejuvenate and stabilize the population of these areas, which have been suffering from significant aging over the years. This concept is not new in Italy, already being used in other regions such as the island of Sardinia, the village of Presicce, Calabria and Santo Stefano di Sessanio. Tuscany hopes to repeat the success of these initiatives, attracting younger people and new families to revitalize its small towns.
