MRS Logística, which signed a contract to renew the company's railway concession for another 30 years, is offering job openings for higher-level positions

The MRS Logística railway concession renewal contract was signed on Friday, for a period of over 30 years. The company has job vacancies available for three different positions

Last Friday (the 29th), the company MRS Logística signed, under the approval of the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT), the renewal of the company's railway concession contract in the municipality of Juiz de Fora (Minas Gerais), for a period of over 30 years. The current contract was signed on November 28, 1996 and will last until the year 2026, from which the 30-year extension will begin.

Thus, the signature of the document grants MRS Logística the right to provide the rail freight transport service on the Southeast Network until the year 2056, through the fulfillment of certain obligations.

The concessionaire informed, in a material fact sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), that, on June 1st, the Federal Audit Court analyzed in detail its plan of investments and authorized the validation of the amendment to the current railway concession contract.

MRS foresees CAPEX of approximately R$ 11 billion

Under this bias, the capital investments (CAPEX) foreseen by MRS Logística on the rail network in the Southeast region are around R$ 11 billion, which will be distributed throughout the concession period.

CAPEX will be allocated to carrying out measures classified into three large groups, namely: actions to train the railway network and meet performance parameters; the mitigation of urban conflicts, with the construction of viaducts, footbridges, fence walls and the implementation of automatic gates; and works of public interest, such as, for example, track segregation with Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM), among others.

In addition, in the economic-financial model, other investments associated with maintaining the business are also expected (Current CAPEX).

Finally, in addition to the new investments, MRS Logística will also have, with the new contract, the obligation to pay 138 quarterly installments in the amount of R$ 14 million, until the term of the amendment comes to an end. Thus, such payment will be added to the amount paid quarterly, until 2026, as a right for the railway concession.
