Environmental impacts related to water consumption
According to the environmental impact report โ โ Regarding the impacts arising from water consumption, the studies carried out confirm the water availability of the Tietรช River, deserving some reflections on UGRHI 13 (Tietรช โ Jacarรฉ), which registered significant values โโof demand for industrial use, due to the presence of important agroindustries in the region. Disposal of liquid effluents treated in the Tietรช River will not alter the quality of the water in the Tietรช River, meeting the legal standards of CONAMA and state regulations, in particular Decree 8468/76 and subsequent amendments. This is extremely positive, considering the multiple uses of water, as the capture of water and the release of treated effluents will not affect fishing activities, nor the water quality of the Tietรช riverโ.
