About a company

After 26 years since the beginning of its history in China, BYD has taken another step towards consolidating itself globally and is starting to sell imported cars in Brazil, starting next year. But the brand's history in our country dates back to 2015, with the opening of its first 100% electric bus assembly plant in Campinas (SP).

The unit is responsible for assembling standard buses (13m) with high floor (D9A), low floor (D9W), charter buses (D9F) and articulated buses (22m), high floor and low floor (D11A and D11B), which win bodies made by local partners. BYD electric buses have a range of 250 to 300 kilometers, which allows them to run all day, returning to the garage at night, where they are recharged.

Full recharge (0% to 100%) takes place within three to four hours. The vehicles are safe, quiet and can cut operating costs by up to 70%. In addition, each BYD 100% electric bus avoids, on average, the emission of 121 tons of CO2 per year, equivalent to planting 864 trees per vehicle.
