Vallourec, a leading company in the steel tube sector, celebrates a significant milestone with the award of two contracts to supply tubes in the prestigious Búzios oil and gas field, operated by Petrobras. This achievement in Campo de Búzios reinforces the position strategic dthe company in Brazil, one of its key markets, and demonstrates the confidence of its customers regarding the quality and continuity of its supplies.
Campo de Búzios is recognized as one of the largest deep-water fields in the world and is responsible for a quarter of Petrobras' oil production. With the winning of these contracts, the company will supply an impressive 48.000 tons of tubes for operations in Campo de Búzios.
High Quality Tubes for Superior Performance
Vallourec's Búzios oil field contracts involve the supply of 346 km of subsea pipes for the risers and flowlines in the Umbilicals, Risers and Subsea Flowlines (SURF) package. These pipes will be mechanically coated pipes (MLPs) with a CRA (corrosion resistant alloy) coating, ensuring superior performance and reliability in oil and gas extraction. Vallourec is proud to offer products exceptional to its valued customers and reaffirms this commitment by producing the optional quantities related to these projects in its advanced facilities in Germany and in its PQF plant in Jeceaba, Minas Gerais.
