The multinational Lightsource has started the works of solar energy parks in Ceará that promise to generate hundreds of jobs for the local population.
Lightsource BP, a multinational solar energy company present in 18 countries, announced the conclusion of all studies of conditions precedent for the investment of financial resources for the Solar Milagres Complex, which will consist of 5 solar parks in the municipality of Abaiara, in the interior of the Ceará. The development of the parks, according to the company, started this month with a total investment of R$ 800 million, promising to generate 800 new jobs.
Banco do Brasil will finance BRL 423 million for the project
Work on the project's transmission system, which is already generating several jobs, began in December 2021, and the construction of the multinational's five solar energy parks Lightsource BP started this month, in the municipality of Abaiara, in the state of Ceará, with an investment of R$ 800 million.
Banco do Brasil, through the Northeast Development Fund (FDNE), managed by the Northeast Development Superintendence (Sudene), will be responsible for financing R$ 423 million and the rest of the resources needed for the installation of solar energy projects in Ceará will be invested directly by Lightsource BP.

Multinational solar energy parks will start operating in 2024
The parks will enter into commercial operation in early 2024 and will have the capacity to generate 460 MWh per year, enough energy to power around 212 homes.
During the construction of the undertaking by the multinational Lightsource, 800 jobs will be created, with priority given to labor from the municipality of Ceará. According to the company, most of the solar energy was sold in the free contracting environment in closed contracts with companies with high financial strength.
According to the company's Country Manager, Ricardo Barros, these contracts reinforce the importance of Brazil in the multinational's strategy. The company's intention is to sell the energy generated from its solar energy projects in the most profitable way possible, creating good deals and partnerships that add value to the company, customers and shareholders.
Works are being carried out by Motrice
Work on the solar energy complex of the multinational Lightsource BP has already begun and is being carried out by Motrice, a national company specializing in solutions for the development of renewable energy generation, distribution and transmission systems.
The multinational has already carried out a global supply process for the selection of equipment suppliers, choosing companies such as Huawei, Canadian Solar and Nexttracker for modules, inverter frames and trackers respectively.
