Integrated with the Ministry of Infrastructure, the sector seeks to consolidate its identity, choosing between the model of a private port or a port under public control. The issue involves an urgent review of port legislation, with an efficient regulatory framework.
The recent decisions to implement technical management in ports by Port Authorities that encourage new bids, expanding the participation of the private sector point to a path that requires broad reflection and in-depth studies.
The scenario also requires greater investment for the efficiency of access to ports, in all modes, eliminating the well-known barriers that hinder Brazilian foreign trade so much.
Within these parameters, panels with the participation of federal authorities, directors of public and private entities from all sectors linked to ports, logistics and the economy will allow participants to better understand what is expected for the present and future of the system.
