The two vessels are at the Arsenal de Marinha in rio de Janeiro and will be completed by a shipyard or company, but inside the Arsenal
Last Tuesday (2/7), during the 2nd seminar on maintenance of military ships, organized by SOBENA (Brazilian Society of Naval Engineering), the director of the AMRJ, Rear Admiral José Luiz Rangel, declared that the Navy intends to hire a company or a shipyard to complete the construction of two patrol ships.
The vessels are the NPa (Patrulha Ship) Maracanã, which has already been launched and is currently docked at the Navy Arsenal in Rio de Janeiro, on Ilha das Cobras, and the NPa Mangaratiba, which is in a shed at a less advanced stage of construction.
These vessels belonged to the scope of the Eisa SA shipyard, but were not completed and with the closure of the company they were transferred to the Navy Arsenal.
The ships belong to the Macaé class and are 54,2 meters long and have a displacement of 500 tons. This class already has two units in operation: NPa Macaé and Macau.

full yard
The director of the Navy yard declared that, despite all the difficulties, it has been able to meet deadlines and that the current portfolio of the shipyard is quite extensive.
There are now two more docked ships at the Arsenal: the NPo Almirante Maximiano and the NApOc Ary Rongel, which have been undergoing repairs since May, with completion scheduled for September.
The workforce today at the Arsenal de Marinha shipyard in Rio de Janeiro has 2.700 employees, including military and civilians.
In addition to the ships, the shipyard's work portfolio also involves repairs to three submarines: the Tikuna, the Tamoio and the Timbira.
