With a new decree stipulated by the operator, the end of TIM's popular service, called “TIM Plus Advantages”, causing astonishment among customers. Starting November 29, TIM operator users will no longer be able to accumulate and redeem tokens to exchange for discounts, bonuses and to participate in raffles.

According to reports, the announcement of the end of TIM's popular service, with a new decree from ANATEL, was made to customers via SMS. In addition, the company has not yet officially disclosed the reasons that led to the termination of the service. “TIM More Advantages”. However, it is possible that the decision to end TIM's popular service is related to the search for new loyalty strategies and the need to optimize operating costs.

With the end of the popular service from the operator TIM, customers lose a tool that allowed them to customize their plans and obtain exclusive benefits.

The company plans to soon announce new loyalty program formats for prepaid and control customers. It is possible that the TIM operator will offer more personalized benefits targeted to the demands of each customer.

According to a statement, TIM informs that its loyalty programs have been updated to further improve the experience of redeeming benefits for Pré and Controle customers. Regarding the end of TIM's popular service, participating customers will be able to redeem their benefits until 29/11.. New formats will be announced soon.

How did the program work?

For those who don't know, TIM Mais Avantage is a free relationship program focused on customers of prepaid plans and controlled by the TIM Operator. Among the benefits offered by the program are partnerships with several brands, which allow discounts on electronic products, courses and travel services, customers can win prizes, such as cars, trips and cashback on purchases.

With each renewal of offers or recharges made, customers accumulated tokens, which were used on a virtual roulette wheel within the app. In addition, tokens could also be used to win “lucky numbers”, increasing the chances of participating in raffles. The TIM Mais Vantagens program had a category system that offered differentiated benefits according to the customer’s profile:

  • Bronze;
  • Silver;
  • Gold;
  • Diamond.

The further the customer progresses, the more benefits become available, increasing the value and the possibilities of prizes. TIM's popular service ends on November 29th, so until that date, customers can continue to use their tokens and participate in the draws. However, after this period, all these benefits will expire and cannot be reactivated.

Another TIM service is also terminated with new ANATEL decree

In addition to the end of TIM's popular service announced recently, in August, the company announced the end of unlimited use of social networks and other apps in its plans, the so-called Zero Rating, with some of them already carrying out reformulations in recent months in their plans to adapt to the new standard.

Just like the end of the popular service of the operator TIM, the news was not very encouraging when communicated during the presentation of the financial results of the second quarter of this year, where TIM revealed a rise in net profit of 22,5%, reaching the mark of R$ 781 million in the period.
