With investments of US$14 million, the new Technology center will be developed to provide aviation services worldwide and will generate job opportunities in the area.
The global supplier of jet engines, components and systems for commercial and military aircraft GE Aerospace, informed last Wednesday that it is producing a new site destined to the development of inspection and repair technologies, that will be used in aviation service workshops around the world and will generate several job openings, according to the Aeroin website.
GE intends to invest $14 million and, as a result, generate approximately 50 salaried jobs over the next two years at its Services Technology Acceleration Center (STAC), located in Springdale, in suburban Cincinnati, Ohio state in the United States.
According to the Cincinnati Business Courier, the 85.000-square-foot (7.896-square-meter) site where the aviation STAC will be located was home to the former grand headquarters of cosmetics company Avon.

New center for the development of engine technologies and services
The STAC facility will be dedicated to the development of engine service technologies and work processes, enabling collaboration between engineering and manufacturing and generating jobs in this area as well.
Teams will work together to demonstrate a technology's deployment readiness before scaling it for use in service shops, speeding new ideas to market.
“This investment is a testament to GE's continued commitment to enhancing our leading services technology portfolio,” said Russell Stokes, President and CEO, Commercial Engines and Services, GE Aerospace.
“We are creating a new space dedicated to development of automation and robotics technologies that we can distribute in our workshops maintenance, repair and overhaul at different scale and speed,” added Stokes.
Use of technology space
The Technology center facility in the 85.000 square foot space will also be used as a training facility for many of these next-generation service technologies, as well as a customer education center for GE Aerospace, generating numerous jobs there as well. aviation area.
