After a careful analysis of market options, New Fortress Energy chose SAP Business One due to SAP's global reputation and the need for a robust system that supported governance and control processes, essential for a potential IPO.

A partnership with Ramo It was a strategic decision, based on positive feedback from the sector and the proximity and efficiency in sales, implementation, technical support, training and consultancy throughout the process. In 2021, New Fortress Energy acquired Golar's operations in Brazil, abandoning IPO plans, and consolidated its presence in the country.

The entity was established in Rio de Janeiro, with additional offices in São Francisco do Sul (SC), Belém (PA) and Barcarena (PA). Specializing in the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and generation of electrical energy, the energy company needed a system capable of managing complex operations and integrating data between the Brazilian branch and the headquarters in the USA.

Recently, New Fortress Energy opened the Gás Sul Terminal (TGS) in Babitonga Bay, in São Francisco do Sul (SC), with an investment of 500 million reais. This is the first LNG regasification terminal in the southern region of Brazil, connected to the Bolivia-Brazil gas pipeline (Gasbol). This venture is vital for the supply of natural gas to thermoelectric plants and industries in the South, Southeast and Center-West regions.

The implementation of SAP Business One by New Fortress Energy, in partnership with Ramo, resulted in the consolidation of financial and accounting data, centralizing information in a single database. According to a report from the Brazilian Oil and Gas Institute (IBP), the Energy Research Company (EPE) projects that domestic natural gas production will increase from 51 million cubic meters in 2021 to 136 million cubic meters in 2031.
