Hyundai Elantra 2024 promises to revolutionize the midsize sedan segment with a sporty design and powerful engines, awaiting studies to confirm launch in Brazil.

The midsize sedan segment is about to gain a new competitor that promises to redefine market expectations: the Hyundai Elantra 2024. After a notable restyling in the international market, the model stands out not only for its sporty design, but also for its set of technologies and efficient engines.

The new Elantra 2024 measures 4,67 meters in length and has a wheelbase of 2,71 meters, ensuring ample interior space. The model features an aggressive design, highlighted by the “shark mouth” front and interconnected full LED headlights, which give it a modern and bold appearance. The rear is not far behind, with double side exhaust outlets and full LED lights that reinforce the vehicle's sporty character.

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra offers different engine options, including standard versions and a sporty version known as Elantra N. Let's explore the characteristics and differences of these engines in an educational way.

2024 Hyundai Elantra engine (standard version)

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra's standard engine is a 1.6 four-cylinder petrol turbo, known for its efficient performance. This engine offers 201 horsepower and 27 kgfm of torque. The power allows adequate acceleration for a medium sedan, while the high torque guarantees a good response at low and medium speeds.

It uses direct fuel injection, a technology that improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions. Coupled to this engine is an automated transmission seven-speed double clutch, bathed in oil. This provides quick and smooth gear changes, contributing to a more pleasant and economical drive.

Hyundai Elantra N engine

The Elantra N version significantly raises the bar for power and performance, making it ideal for sports car enthusiasts. It features a 2.0 Turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine, which is substantially more powerful than the engine in the standard version. This engine produces 280 horsepower and 40 kgfm of torque. The greater power allows for much faster acceleration and a more dynamic driving experience.

Buyers have the option of choosing between a six-speed manual transmission, which appeals to purists who prefer a more engaging driving experience, or an eight-speed dual-clutch automated transmission, which offers gearshift efficiency and speed. With this engine, the Elantra N can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5,3 seconds, an impressive figure for a sedan and comparable to many sports cars.

Internal and security

Internally, the Elantra 2024 surprises with two 10-inch screens each, one for the instrument panel and the other for the multimedia system, which includes native GPS, reversing camera and wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Comfort is enhanced with features such as dual-zone digital climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a sunroof and premium sound system.

Safety is a priority for the 2024 Hyundai Elantra, which includes advanced systems such as adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, collision warning and pedestrian and cyclist detection, among others.

New Hyundai Elantra 2024 in Brazil?

With its return to the market, the 2024 Hyundai Elantra is positioned to compete directly with established models such as the Toyota Corolla and the Volkswagen Jetta GLI. However, Hyundai has not yet confirmed the arrival of the Elantra 2024 in Brazil, but rumors warn about the possible arrival of the Hyundai Elantra N, the sportier version. The expectation is that the model will attract consumers looking for a luxury midsize sedan, with excellent performance and a bold design.

With a price at global market is between R$150.000 and R$200.000 (in direct conversion), depending on the version, the new Elantra 2024 promises to be an important milestone for Hyundai in the market, consolidating its presence in the medium sedan segment with a model that offers luxury, performance and cutting-edge technology.
