4,1 million Brazilians with solar energy in their homes
The value, if approved, is equivalent to a 680% increase in the use of solar sources in the country in 10 years. These numbers are based on a study on the expansion of solar sources in Brazil that was carried out in July by the Energy Research Company (EPE), an agency linked to the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
If the Government's PL is approved, 4,1 million Brazilians will have solar energy in their homes by 2031. It is a huge advance compared to just half a million current users.

PL provides for mandatory use of solar energy in all public or private undertakings in Brazil
The Government tries at all costs to bring greater solar power to the country. In addition to the previous PL, which will bring clean energy to homes, a PL was also created on May 5, by deputy Pedro Augusto Palareti (PSD-RJ), which provides for mandatory installation and the use of solar energy in all public or private undertakings in Brazil.
The author of the proposal, Palareti, claims to understand that it is up to the government to create new incentives for the production of solar energy or other means of clean energy. With the mandatory use of solar energy in new developments, public policies that favor the environment and the population will be developed. The bill was received by the Mines and Energy Commission on July 4 and is currently awaiting approval.
MT intends to open a line of credit for solar energy
On July 6, the state deputy, Faissal Calil (PV), presented a proposal to the government of MT for the creation of a line of credit for low-income people to install solar energy in their homes.
According to the project, the financing will cover the purchase and installation of solar panels and also other equipment for solar capture to be carried out in homes.
The deputy says that the benefit will be aimed at families that have a per capita income of less than half a minimum wage. Faissal also claims that the country is in the midst of a water crisis and it is important to find renewable sources and there is no better solution than that.
