New Caixa Econômica Federal public tender for mid-level students will be announced in 2023

New mid-level contest by Caixa Econômica Federal should arrive soon: Institution summons more than 800 remaining candidates from the previous public contest.

Although there is still no scheduled date for the publication of the notice, a numbernew public tender of Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) destined for the position of bank technician, for effective filling, may still happen in 2023. The institution has not published a competition for this position since 2014 and, in May, summoned 800 remaining candidates, after years of judicial uncertainties.

Attributions for the position of the Caixa Econômica mid-level contest

those who are approved in the Caixa Econômica Federal competition for the position of bank technician, they will be responsible for providing customer service, identifying customers, verifying the authenticity of signatures, documents and fingerprints, when specific training is carried out, developing, writing and checking documents and correspondence in general, carrying out administrative activities and banking operations, using equipment and technological tools, entering and consulting data in computerized operating systems and other applications related to their activities, as well as helping with their maintenance and improvement, performing other activities inherent to the occupational content of the positions, performing various calculations and numerical controls, identifying and pointing out ways to improve processes in which it operates.

Those interested in applying for the mid-level competition for bank technician position must have completed high school education and will have an initial salary of R$ 3. In addition to the salary, those approved in the Caixa Econômica Federal public tender will have several benefits such as profit sharing, meal or food allowance, transportation vouchers, daycare assistance, the possibility of professional advancement, supplementary providence, access to training and development actions.

Expectation for a new Caixa Econômica mid-level competition grows

With the call of the institution in May, a new public tender may come out soon. In addition, in June it was determined that the next Caixa Econômica Federal contest should only be held to fill immediate vacancies, without the existence of a reserve personnel register.

The adjustment was agreed between Caixa and the Public Ministry of Labor (MPT), with the participation of the National Federation of Employee Associations of Caixa Econômica Federal (Fenae) and the National Confederation of Financial Workers (Contraf). In this way, although there is still no precise date for the start of the public tender, those who plan to enter the career can already start their studies.

In addition to the last Caixa Econômica Federal contest for broad competition, for bank technicians, which began in 2014, a new selection process took place in 2021, to fill 1.100 vacancies, focusing only on candidates with disabilities, with 1.000 for immediate filling and 100 reserve personnel registrations.

As opportunities were aimed at the positions of bank technician, with a focus on working in branches in the 27 units of the federation and bank technician in the information technology sector, with capacity only in Brasília, in the Federal District. 

The selection process had discursive and objective tests. The objective part had 60 questions, about disciplines such as: 

• financial math;
• specific knowledge;
• Portuguese language;
• banking knowledge.

In 2014, the mid-level competition for vacancies for Banking technicians was held only for reserve registration. Organized by the Center for Promotion and Events, CESPE, where 1.156.744 entries were registered, with the Pole with the highest number of entries being Rio de Janeiro, with 43.656 entries. In the same year, another public notice was published only for higher-level positions. 9 vacancies were offered plus reserve registration for Engineer positions in various specialties and Occupational Physician.
