The Federal Institute of Paraíba (IFPB) announces a new call for applications with thousands of vacancies in free technical courses. Learn how to participate in free courses without having to take a test!

The Federal Institute of Paraíba (IFPB) announced the opening of registrations for free technical courses in integrated and subsequent modalities for the first semester of 2025. In total, the institution offers 4.335 vacancies in free courses in this selection process, which is a great way to complement the curriculum, grow professionally or enter the job market, which is increasingly demanding.

List of free technical courses from IFPB

The opportunities are distributed across the campuses. The more than 4 places on free courses at the Federal Institute are distributed as follows:

  • Environmental technician;
  • Technician in Fishing Resources;
  • Multimedia Technician;
  • Legal Services Technician;
  • Building Technician;
  • Electromechanical technician;
  • Computer Technician;
  • Mining technician;
  • Technician in Oil and Gas;
  • Chemistry Technician;
  • Administration Technician;
  • Technician in Renewable Energy Systems;
  • Accounting technician;
  • Industrial Automation Technician;
  • Environmental Control Technician;
  • Electronic Technician;
  • Electrical Technician;
  • Musical Instrument Technician;
  • Mechanical technician;
  • Occupational Safety Technician;
  • Fashion Design Technician;
  • Geology Technician;
  • Technician in Agroindustry;
  • Agricultural Technician.

How are places distributed on IFPB's free technical courses?

The IFPB reserves half of the places for candidates from Public Schools (EEP) who have completed their education in public schools.

Within this percentage, there is a reservation of places for candidates who self-declare as black, brown and indigenous (PPI), candidates who self-declare as quilombolas (Q) and candidates with disabilities (PcD), in addition to the reservation for candidates with a gross family income equal to or less than 1,0 minimum wage (R$ 1,420).

For the free integrated courses, 3.110 places are offered distributed across the campuses of Cabedelo, Cabedelo Center, Cajazeiras, Campina Grande, Catolé do Rocha, Esperança, Guarabira, Itabaiana, Itaporanga, Monteiro, João Pessoa, Pedras de Fogo, Patos, Picuí, Santa Luzia, Princesa Isabel, Santa Rita and Sousa.

For subsequent free technical courses, 1.185 places are offered on the campuses of Areia, Cabedelo, Cajazeiras, Cabedelo Centro, Campina Grande, Itabaiana, João Pessoa, Mangabeira, Patos, Pedras de Fogo, Santa Luzia, Princesa Isabel, Soledade and Sousa. There are also another 40 places for the subsequent technical course in Musical Instrument offered exclusively on the João Pessoa campus.

Registration for free courses at the Federal Institute

Registrations must be made exclusively by filling out an electronic form available on the Federal Institute's website, provided that you have or have access to a valid and active email account. Registrations can be made until October 3rd.

For subsequent free courses, interested parties must have completed high school or equivalent by the pre-enrollment date. For integrated courses, it is necessary to have completed the 9th grade (formerly 8th grade) of elementary school or equivalent by the pre-enrollment date.

 It is worth noting that the IFPB is not responsible for any registration request via the Internet that is not received due to any technical reasons related to computers or communication failures.

Already selective process for free integrated technical courses It will be carried out through an analysis of academic performance in Portuguese Language/Portuguese, Mathematics, History and Geography or equivalent subjects in Elementary School II, in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade, or equivalent. 

For the subsequent courses, selection will be carried out by analyzing grades in Portuguese Language, Portuguese and Mathematics or equivalent subjects studied in the 1st and 2nd year of High School, or equivalent.
