Accompanying the growth in the solar energy market in Brazil and the high demand for the resource, the companies from Pernambuco, Elétron Energy and Kroma Energia, joined forces for a new project to build a solar complex in the state.

Northeastern companies Elétron Energy and Kroma Energia are developing a new large enterprise for the state of Pernambuco, a complex for the production of solar energy. Until this Friday, (15/07), it is known that the construction will have a total investment of R$ 340 million and aims to supply the high demand for solar energy in the northeastern market, as well as attract new business to the state of Pernambuco, which has a high potential for using this resource.

New project by the companies from Pernambuco Elétron Energy and Kroma Energia will be a solar energy production complex to supply high market demand

Pernambucan companies Elétron Energy and Kroma Energia have teamed up and announced the newest project for the state of Pernambuco, a solar energy production complex that will be installed in the region. Baptized São Pedro e Paulo, the newest complex in the region is being built in the municipality of Flores, in the Sertão of Pernambuco, with works already started since June and delivery scheduled for early 2023.

The companies' solar energy production complex will be responsible for supplying a total of 101 peak megawatts (MWp), with 30% of the energy directed to contracts in the free market (ACL) and 70% to the regulated market (ACR), by PPA's (Power Purchase Agreement), which are already signed with other companies. In this way, Elétron Energy and Kroma Energia will be able to greatly expand their presence in the renewable energy production and commercialization segment in the northeastern region.

In addition, the companies announced that the project to build the solar energy complex has a total investment of R$ 340 million and the financing will be carried out by Banco do Nordeste (BNB) at the cost of R$ 218 million.

Finally, the companies' projections for the resource's production potential show that the complex's capacity will be equivalent to that used in the entire hinterland of Pajeú, a region that has 150 households. This will become a reference project for the region of the state of Pernambuco and will help to attract investors to the segment in the area.

Solar energy market is booming in Brazil, with a focus on Distributed Generation, and the company takes advantage of the moment with Kroma Energia for a new project

The companies Elétron Energy and Kroma Energia are taking advantage of the favorable scenario for renewable energies to develop a new project in the state of Pernambuco, since the solar energy market is booming in Brazil. In this way, another project that should be inaugurated before 2025 in the state is by Enercom Renováveis, which had already presented the solar energy generation project.

This is the Solar Power Plant Luiz Gonzaga II, which will be installed in the municipality of Terra Nova, 600 kilometers from the capital Recife and will have an installed capacity of more than 30 MW, thus managing to produce enough for more than 100 thousand people. The works were started during the year 2021 and the delivery of the complex is scheduled for the year 2025, if the construction project goes as expected.

And, in the production of solar energy, the distributed generation model is the most sought after in the state of Pernambuco. “We receive, on average, 2 distributed generation projects per month and connect approximately 1,5. The growth in 2021 was 200%”, highlighted Neoenergia's Large Customer Relationship Manager, Rafael Motta, regarding the sector's growth in the state.
