Ocyan performs the first maintenance stop on the high seas

Ocyan reaches an important milestone in maintenance mode through its Norbe IX drillships, saving resources and optimizing services

The drillship Norbe IX, which belongs to Ocyan, made its first stop for maintenance at sea. Generally, the rigs are docked in shipyards or in Guanabara Bay (RJ) for stops, but good planning and the time of year with favorable weather conditions allowed the planned stop to be made on the high seas, without the ship leave the lease of the well.

Performed this way, the procedure allowed cost and efficiency gains. During the 18 days of maintenance, accompanied by the customer on site, 21 companies worked in synergy and more than 34 man-hours of work were carried out.

The greatest emphasis was on safety, with no incidents recorded during the stop.

New Ocyan partnership in the offshore maintenance area

Ocyan's Offshore Maintenance and Services (MSO) area entered into a partnership with the Canadian company Tube-Mac to offer an innovative solution to players in the oil and gas and petrochemical market in Brazil.
