Ocyan signed an agreement to renew Petrobras' gas network located in the Campos Basin. This move signals the company's growing involvement in offshore EPCI ventures, covering areas such as engineering, production, purchasing and installation of devices. This project marks Ocyan's resurgence in Subsea Construction contracts of the EPCI type and theThis happened shortly after the company received recognition for achieving carbon neutralization in some of its operations.

It is an important debut for the company to lead a venture of this magnitude, collaborating in equal parts with the renowned Mota-Engil, from Portugal, with a significant global presence, mainly in Europe and Africa. Maritime operations will take place close to the Namorado and Garoupa platforms, involving the assembly of various underwater devices and flexible pipes.

The Campos Basin currently channels its gas production through four routes that intercept the Namorado and Garoupa platforms, then heading to the continent through three gas pipelines. With the future deactivation of these platforms, Petrobras' gas will need to divert from these structures, installing two underwater manifolds and connecting them to the existing underwater system.

Rafael Guigon, director of Subsea Construction at Ocyan, details: “The EPCI agreement will strengthen our subsea sector, as it covers several areas of expertise, providing us with the ability to face greater challenges ahead.” The initial stage of the project, focused on engineering, will begin soon, and maritime operations are expected to begin in 2025. The renovation project in the Campos Basin will generate job opportunities for professionals from different fields.
